Bayanihan Ubuntu based

Don't you think it is easier if Bayanihan is based on Ubuntu instead of Debian?
Similar to GreenOS(GOS), Linux Mint and MoLinux(Spanish Government Distro).

Then again, Ubuntu is a Debian derivative [http://www.ubuntu.com/community/ubuntustory/Debian]. I think that the only upside to Ubuntu is that there's a company (Canonical) that acts as a marshal, if you will, as to the frequency and quality of updates included with the distro.

Strange enough I use mostly RPM based distro's (sure my "workhorse" is) but it is my believe that Debian is by far the best choice as a base. Ubuntu is moving fast(er) maybe but that won't work out always so well in terms of stability and bugs... (Saw a few too many coming by in Ubuntu and has kissed it goodbye long time ago, still a distro with ball's of course, just not mine..). Then this "a company behind it" .... brrr, it feels like someone opens the Windows on a cold day!
